Providing high-precision automatic riveting machine solutions for Midea

In the production of high-end home appliance motherboards, Midea needs to fix a large number of metal rivet terminals or support pillars to the PCB. Traditional processes face the following problems:
- Uneven Pressure: Manual or simple equipment cannot accurately control the riveting pressure. Excessive pressure can easily cause micro-cracks in the PCB, affecting the lifespan of the appliance.
- Position Misalignment: Slight deviation of the rivet position can cause jamming during subsequent assembly with the casing or other components, or even short circuits.
- Low Efficiency: Traditional riveting requires multiple processes, including manual material placement, positioning, and pressing, which cannot keep up with the pace of Midea's modern SMT/DIP automated production line.
We customized a servo-controlled intelligent riveting machine for Midea, achieving a digital upgrade of the riveting process:
- Servo Precision Pressing: Utilizing a full servo drive system, pressure control accuracy reaches ±1%, allowing real-time adjustment of stroke and pressure according to different PCB materials, completely eliminating the risk of substrate damage.
- Dual Vision Positioning System: Equipped with bottom and top CCD cameras, automatically identifying PCB hole positions and rivet features, achieving extremely high alignment accuracy of ±0.02mm.
- Automatic Feeding and Inspection: Employing a high-frequency vibratory feeder for automatic feeding and integrating riveting height detection function, automatically rejecting defective products that are not properly riveted.
- Quiet Design: Optimizing the mechanical structure to meet Midea's green factory requirements, the noise level of the equipment during high-speed operation is far below industry standards.
After the equipment was put into production in multiple Midea business units (such as household air conditioners and washing machines), it brought significant improvements in technical indicators:
